Blue February: PAJAMAS EDITION

Image

My original plan for Blue February was to stitch up a Kitschycoo Penny Pinafore for myself in Navy and Kelly Green Merino Wool Jersey

But, sometimes the best laid plans do not come to fruition. Since I’ve decided to hold off on selfish sewing until I lose the 20 pounds that I regained I have been focusing on filling orders for my Etsy Shop. Luckily an order came in for a few blue pajamas, so without further ado, here are my submissions for Blue February

These pajamas were all made with Lillestoff fabric I got from either Halla Fabrics or Emrose Fabrics. They both have a nice selection of Lillestoff and fast domestic shipping (I needed these fabrics ASAP as a customer requested them).

I think they turned out super cute!

I’ve been using Stretch Nylon Serger thread to finish the insides of the children’s clothes I’ve been making, and I must say I have been really tickled to use all the different colors. I’m usually a white or black serger thread only kind of gal, but I wanted the insides of the clothing for the kiddos to be fun too.

I’m gonna have a hard time going back to white or black thread for my own selfish sewing. I bought 6-7 colors at my local sewing shop, but Sewfabulousnola (on Instagram) told me that Wawak has the best prices she’s found. Thanks for the tip, Sewfabulousnola!

Now, if only Maxi-Loc would come put with variegated stretch serger thread. We can dream, amirite?

Check out the Sewcialist Blog and the Flickr pool for the other Blue February makes.

Happy Sewing!
